Behind the Lens…

If you were ever curious as to what happens on the other side of the lens while I am taking pictures of scrumptious food, read on. If not, oh well. =P Here’s a mini-documentary of the behind the scenes from my almonds and honey shoot. Speaking of documentaries I have been watching Ken Burn’s Prohibition PBS documentary. It’s good. Watch it. Did you know that Germans owned most of the breweries before Prohibition, and had a brewer’s association with meetings held in German?

Anywho, here’s a little sneak peak of behind the camera on a normal photography day.

Some shameless self-portraits… Okay, not really, I don’t take many pictures of myself… I’m usually not wearing makeup and in my sweats while taking food pictures… =PAlmond and honey quality control.

I like to listen to music while I shoot too… Usually some John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Mumford and Sons and A Fine Frenzy.

There is usually a bunch of stuff… laundry, shoes, work clothes, books….all over my room too, but you don’t want to see that mess.

Obviously a lot of pain and suffering goes into these shots. I’ll be taking a monetary collection now to help the needy photographer. ;)
